Signs of life

I posted – sadly – about the demise of the old Federal Building a couple of weeks ago, but in order to prove to you that it’s not all doom and gloom and demolition in my city, I thought I would also post the following:

I took these last week while I was waiting for the bus, and I’m so impressed by the progress that has been made on the restoration.  You can read a bit about the history of this building – The Lister Block – here.  What the article doesn’t go into is the drama, theatrics and overall batshit crazy infighting and outfighting that went on prior to its renovation.  At any rate, I’m so happy it’s off the chopping block and well on its way to returning to the beautiful building it was, and should be.
